About Acorns

Our Story

Acorns Children's Clubs are owned by Melanie Gooch & Samantha Riley. Since starting work together in 2009, we have been on a very interesting, challenging and enjoyable journey. 

We currently operate 5 wraparound provisions and 2 preschool settings, all based within the Dudley borough. 

We pride ourselves on providing stimulating, educational, fun and caring environments for children to grow and learn in. 

We invest a lot of time into staff development and provide all of our team members with opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge. 

As qualified practitioners ourselves, we also ensure we keep updated with changes in legislation and practice by attending regular conferences and training programmes. We love the work we do and enjoy spending time in all of our settings, getting to know the children and their families. It has been a joy to watch so many children grow and thrive within our settings over the years and we have even had the pleasure to welcome some back for work experience in recent years.

Our main aim is to provide parents with childcare they can trust and children with childcare they enjoy and which helps them to grow and learn.
